Introducing our staff
Our Manager
Kerry Rafferty is the new Manager of The Maples Care Home. Kerry has worked in the care industry for sixteen years, first as a carer; progressing through various roles to become an experienced manager. Amongst her fellow care professionals, she has built a reputation for being highly professional, caring and compassionate, always putting the needs of the residents first and foremost. At The Maples, Kerry now leads a committed and loyal team of staff who are well trained, caring and professional.
Our ‘Critical Friend’
With a background in Secondary School leadership, and as the daughter of one of our residents who died, after six years at The Maples, aged 99 and COVID free, our volunteer ‘Critical Friend’ is ideally placed to assist the management and staff to provide the best care possible for our residents and support for their relatives.
Described by a CQC inspector as an ‘asset’ for the Home, it will be her role to provide impartial, constructive criticism, praise and information gained through observation and consultation.
‘There are only so many times that I can say ‘thank you’ to the staff for the years of loving care that they provided for my mother and me. I hope that I can use my skills, and experience as a relative, to assist The Maples in their genuine desire to be the best.’
